working with webcams for CCV on MacBook
Cygnus to debug your webcam problems you may want to also try it with Processing. It is a more widely used standard tool for video input. I have 2 cameras. One of them is a Sony Playstation EyeToy2, which is also a popular webcam for experimental applications. Currently it is at the Video Studio, in the care of Tania Tsiridou.
Also, you should write to the forums about your problems with the webcam. So my recommendation is:
1. Try connecting your webcam with the software for display and testing that comes with Macam.
2. Try video input with Processing with the built in camera
3. Test the webcam with Processing
4. Write to forums or processing about webcam access. This is a big community of people with similar interests so you are most likely to get answers there
5. Try other forums.
6. Try other cameras
